Simplify & Automate Your Product Quality Process - Part I



Quality control is one of the critically important processes at any company who designs or manufactures a product. With the rise of social media, the importance of product reviews has grown and competition among products has increased dramatically. Hence, it is crucial to strive in the pursuit of 100% quality or risk losing compliance with ISO or FDA and even worse, alienating consumers.

Now, there are two critical questions raised for quality control department to assure that you are on track to meet the changing consumer behavior.

1st question
"How many hours that your quality control department need to spend to complete your
First Article Inspection Report (FAIR)?"

2nd question
"How confident are your that your FAIR is free from human error?" 

Creating a FAIR will take hours per day, depending on the complexity of the technical drawing. That is because majority of companies are still using the manual method to create a FAI report or inspection check sheet. 


Now, take a look at the manual method, the basic equipment that are required to complete a FAI report,


  1. Big Drafting Table (If you have A0 size of technical drawing)
  2. Shape Drawing Template Ruler (As a guidance to draw circle/balloon on Technical drawing) 
  3. Pen (To draw the ballooned on Technical drawing paper)
  4. Highlighter pen (To highlight those critical points or ECO points) 
  5. Correction Pen / Eraser (To correct wrong marked wrongly on the technical drawing)
  6. Excel Software : To prepare inspection report in table format, and key in the result.
     Etc...

The fact is your quality control department need to spend a few hours and go through all the tedious processes just to get
  1. Technical Drawing with ballooned numbering and,
  2. FAIR with proper numbering and result
